Official Opening of CADES BAY FENCING PROJECT

The opening of the Cades Bay Fencing Project took place recently.

The project is now complete, invitations have been sent out and the signage has been made. The project was made possible by the Four Seasons Foundation and Karen and Barry Wilson although parties wish to remain publically anonymous which all are urged to respect. Thank you! attended by Arnova, members of the public, farmers, Mr Eric Evelyn and officials of the Department. This project, made possible by Arnova, the Department and the generosity of anonymous sponsors will mark the first legacy project of its kind involving an array of stakeholders and demonstrating how we can all work together in a meaningful way.

During the various speeches given at the opening, all those involved were fully acknowledged for their contribution. The recipient farmers have pledged that they will sustain the project in terms of taking ownership of fence maintenance and ensuring that their crops have ongoing protection. The event was recorded and has since been aired on television.
